Once you create a Good Reads account you can create shelves for books, keep your friends up to date with what you are currently read and have read, update your reading status by book page, make a list of books that you want to read so you can keep them all in one place you can even make a list of books that you've read and rate and review them in case you want to go back and read them later. It's FREE to sign up. Best price ever, right? Good Reads has been an HUGE resource for us girls at The Literary Maidens, and with the smart phone Good Reads app, it makes it even easier to use this website and also features the option to scan a book by it's bar code to put it on your shelves or read the book description. Also be sure and check out The Literary Maidens account HERE so you can keep us with what we are reading or add us a friend. If you would like to add each girl's individual account to your list of friends then you can view Bethany's page HERE and Madi's page HERE.

Paper Back Swap is this really cool online book club that allows you to swap books with members all over the U.S. You post books that you don't want, and if another member request it you mail it to them. In return once they mark the book as received, you will get a "book credit" which you can use towards any book on the site that is currently available and the member who posted the book you'd like pays for your shipping so basically a free book only "costs" you mailing a book to another member. Yes, you have to pay the postage out of pocket, but the more books that you mail, the more credits you get, and the more credits that you get, the more books you can get for FREE at the expense of your fellow book nerds. Every time you mail one book, you get one credit. It takes one credit to order one free book for yourself, and they really have a great selection to chose from. Just type in the title you are looking for, and chances are at least one copy will be available for mailing. And if it's not, you can put it on your wish list and they will send you an e-mail when one becomes available. They even give you two free credits when you post your first ten books when you first sign up.You know what they say, one man's trash is another mans treasure.
